Graves de Vayres

Around 600 ha of gravelly soil and patches of sand, the area produces predominantly light, approachable and quick to mature reds based mainly on Merlot. Lesser wines are sold under the designation 'Bordeaux'. Graves de Vayres is seen on the label of some sweet whites and dry white wines, although red wine production is more important.
