Cotes de Bordeaux St Macaire

 

An appellation of about 2.300 ha, the designation is devoted to sweet white wines from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. The little red that is made here - mostly from Merlot - is sold as Bordeaux or Bordeaux Superieur.
